A tasty way to lower calories and still enjoy a firm favourite. Approx. 250 calories a bowl.


3 beef stock cubes

250g of minced beef

Bowl of frozen onions

Bowl of frozen carrots

2 big tsp of garlic paste

2 tbsn of tomato paste

1 tsp each of dried basil, oregano and parsley

2 tbsn of parmesan

250g of wholewheat spaghetti (broken into smaller pieces)

4 pints of water

2 tsp of olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste


Boil water, add all ingredients except pasta and cook on low for an hour. Mash ingredients into smaller pieces and continue to simmer for another half hour. Add pasta for last 5/10 mins, use clean scissors to cut smaller if needed. Add salt and pepper to taste. Yummmmm!

Sometimes the pasta sooks up the stock once it cools so add a bit of extra water/stock when reheating as required.
