Ah Chinese takeaways! I love them. Now I’m on maternity leave and on a budget, I thought I’d try making my own and saving some money.

Ingredients

1) Egg Fried Rice

Cooked boiled rice – 2 cups

2 eggs

2 spring onions chopped

1 tbsp of oil

1 tbsp of light soya sauce

Quarter tsp of garlic & ginger

1 tsp of oyster sauce

Half tsp of sesame oil

2) Crispy Chicken & Peppers

1 Birdseye Crispy Chicken portion

2 tbsn of frozen peppers

1 tbsn of frozen onions

1 tsp of oil

50 ml of original bisto (red carton)

Half a tsp of garlic & ginger

Alot of cracked pepper to taste

Method

Heat oil and scramble beaten eggs in wok or frying pan. Add onion, garlic & ginger and stirfry. Add rice and other ingredients.

Oven cook chicken. Fry vegetables in oil. Add gravy and rest of ingredients.
