I am on a constant quest to find the BEST mascara. I’m not sure if I’m just fussy, but I still haven’t found “the one” yet.
Hence, I now try anything, high end, low end. Mascara is a necessary part of my kit, therefore I am prepared to spend more on it for “the one”.
Trawling through beauty reviews, I came across the Eyeko brand last year. As a mascara skeptic, I’ve had my lashes hearts broken before, it took me a while to give the brand a chance.
• British brand ✓
• “innovative Korean-made tube technology envelopes each lash in smudge-proof colour to extend and amplify.“✓
• they promise colour won’t run, smudge, crumble or fade. (I hope this includes flaking, I hate the flaking)✓
• Removes with warm water✓
So I bought 3 different types from QVC on a deal £26 + pp. In this review, I’ll be talking about the “Lash Alert,” the other two will be reviewed in later post’s.
Lash Alert promises, a botanical-fueled energising formula, infused with caffeine and a double dose of fibres to lift the sleepiest of ‘bed lashes’ for perkier volume, curl and care all day. Lash Alert will improve long-term elasticity and resilience for naturally thicker lashes, round the clock.
KEY BENEFITS
- Shea butter to nourish
- Caffeine to stimulate
- Arginine to repair
- Biotinoyl Tripepetide to regenerate
- Biotin to thicken
- Full contact helix brush to curl & volumise
- Carbon-black finish
- Contains fibres suitable for sensitive peepers
After the first month, I have to say, I was quite impressed. Wasn’t cloggy at all at the beginning of use, and was only a wee bit cloggy by the end of month three. Stayed on well throughout the day, occasional flake – though I attribute that to my oil cleanser. Easily removed.
To sum up, what I like about this mascara is the treatment angle, the packaging and the performance. 8/10.
