A favourite of mine. Lovely for a Saturday lunch or quick weeknight dinner. Approximately 2 large portions.


A fist of spaghetti (portion as per instructions, I make big portions)

A bowl of King Prawns (I defrosted some frozen)

Cup of frozen chopped onions

Half a lemon

Butter – I wing this – but lets say 2 tbsp

1 tbsp of olive oil

2 tsp of garlic

2 tbsp of parsley (fresh preferably)

Salt and pepper to taste

Parmesan (I use a lot)


Cook spaghetti as per instructions. After 5 mins, melt the butter, then add oil, garlic and onion. Once golden add prawns. Once prawns turn pink, finely grate the lemon peel and add with the juice. Add parsley.

Once pasta is ready, drain and add to sauce. Toss the sauce, pasta and parmesan together. Pronto!
